Fiona has been a balloon artist for more than 14 years. She set up a balloon and party store with her husband Rodney in Northern Ireland, specialising in balloons and fancy dress. Fiona concentrated her skill on weddings and large scale decor, she also had a successful delivery service and in store collection.

Fiona started to compete in 2002 at the Halloween and international Party show in Birmingham, were she came third in the non-round competition. The next year she won the Decorator of the year at the same event and also won the world master champion at Baci, in Italy, for her Ferrari. Fiona has gone to compete in many competitions successfully through the years, including, European decorator of the year in Amsterdam 2005.

Fiona started teaching in 2003, and been fortunate enough to have taught in a great many countries around the world for Pioneer. She enjoys passing on her experience, know-how and passion for balloon artistry. She also likes meeting lots of people from around the world and learning their experiences and their innovative ways with all types of balloons.

After many years running their very successful business, Fiona and her husband sold their party store in the spring of 2008 and moved to Tuscany, Italy. Fiona now runs a balloon school (www.balloonsintuscany.com)from their beautiful restored farmhouse, covering all aspects of balloon decor, and also continues to decorate large scale venues for corporate customers around the world (www.worldwideballoondecor.com).
Fiona is looking forward to continuing to teach around the globe, and being inspired by the wonderful people she meets along the way also hopes the following years is as fun and inspirational as the last 14 have been.
